The Piazza Family trace their roots back to Sicily where many generations depended on seafood for their livelihood. In the late 1800’s, The Piazza Family immigrated to the United States bringing knowledge of the seafood trade to New Orleans.

During the early years in The US, Paul Piazza Sr started out pushing a seafood cart down the dirt roads of New Orleans selling his goods to individuals and merchants alike. As demand for his products increased, Paul Piazza Sr. and Family established a base location in the Old French Market of New Orleans in the late 1800s.

Since the early days, members of The Piazza Family have gone their separate ways from their original forefathers, to create different corporations that have established the flourishing seafood trade throughout The United States today.

In 1988, after 30 years in the industry, Mr. Vincent Piazza Jr. incorporated Vincent Piazza Jr. and Sons Seafood Inc in the Elmwood business park of the Greater New Orleans Area. Specializing in processing fresh shrimp and finfish, Vincent Piazza Jr. and Sons Seafood packs under the “Papa Piazza”, “Tri-Dragon”, “Lucky Star”, and “Papa’s Fresh Catch” brands. With state of the art machinery, our plant can process over 25,000 lbs. of head-on, headless, and peeled shrimp while our fish cutting facilities can process over 5,000 lbs. of fresh fish daily. To evolve and compete in a global seafood market, Vincent Piazza Jr. and Sons Seafood starting directly importing and private labeling in demand seafood products from international partners. Our storage facilities can store over 3 million pounds of product on site, which allows for better inventory control and more efficient distribution. We dedicate over 3 acres to daily operations.
