Mahi-mahi is the Hawaiian, market name for dolphinfish. Not actually in the dolphin family, this fish is lean with off-white meat. It boasts a mild, sweet flavor and is moderately firm. Fisherman find Mahi-mahi in tropical and subtropical waters worldwide.
Available as fresh fillets or frozen, skinless fillets and individually, vacuum packed portions.
Frozen Mahi fillets thaw in the refrigerator or submerge in cold water. Fresh Mahi fillets can be prepared upon arrival. Use Mahi in tacos with lime, or pair it with mango, fresh herbs or soy sauce.
