Masago

Description

Masago is roe (eggs) of a Capelin. The Capelin fish is in the salmon family. These bright, orange eggs are the smallest of the sushi roe (eggs) and are crunchy in texture.

Available in a 2.2 lb. container.

Product Preparation

Frozen Masago is thawed and added to sushi rolls for added texture and a “pop” of color. Masago is often substituted for tobikko (flying fish roe).
